Tandani

The winds and seas are ours. Xefulan, the Great Octopus, chose us, not these serpent worshipping apes to the north. He chose us. Cul’Furaz called for our aid in ridding the world of these mongrel people and our one-hundred-year pact will not go unanswered. Beat the war fleet’s drums. Hoist the colours. Show them the sharpness of our tusks and the strength of our backs. It is time for us to take back the shores of the continent. To pillage as we please. To take what was always ours. And to these Meturazens in the north? Well, let’s sow their land with salt and see how they thrive.

Raiding and Winter

Tandani’s raiding ability is one of the most disrupting abilities in the game. Being able to stop people building, affording armies and bidding on auction items can utterly ruin a player’s plan. Tandani’s ability to rebuild armies on any island also allows for this to become a good hit and run tactic, using Fervarious, Trukstern, Felruz, Tsal Msal, Ashness Isle or Trukstern Isles as staging points for attacks.

Tandani’s Winter bonus doesn’t seem like a big one to first time players, but due to winter hitting players hard in both upkeep and movement, it benefits Tandani to take good movement cards in the winter with no consequences compared to their rivals.

Tandish Generals

Tandani’s generals are all about giving up something for strength. They might have hard deck-building choices, or a reduction in power for powerful effects, or even not being able to leave their own nation, however, they are all strong if you’re willing to sacrifice that little extra to get ahead.

Development is a little harder to come by in Tandani in general and sadly the generals don’t really help here with the exception of Praxi’Sharrack. Being aggressive pays well with your raiding ability and in slowing your enemies down, but if you do wish for a later-game build, the option is there.

Tandani starts with a roster of 4 generals and 12 unique units. There are also 2 generals and 13 unique units to be unlocked through gameplay. Below is a small selection of Tandani’s starting units.

Combat Cards

Tandani’s combat deck is one that is hard to build around. With no core cavalry card, they are reliant on their flexible cards for this attack type. Their naval attacks are numerous, but only two are high in attack, meaning that they are more looking to build their navy for a grappling compared to Meturaz’s playstyle of trying to avoid it.

Their secondary style of play of skirmishers is heavily highlighted and gives the Tandish player a way to be able to battle with the big boys on land.
